Benhams In The Big Apple

For Memorial Day this weekend this year we decided to visit my sister in New York.
Mummy told me she was going a few months back so we decided I would go with the baby and we decided to surprise my little sister and have John and the boys come too!

While we were there we got a message from my "Dubai Mummy" Denise that she was in New York at the time (New York is where "home" is for her).
It was FANTASTIC seeing her, I may have shed a tear saying good bye.

I have been to New York before but it was the "chauffeured" experience.
This time we did it real New York style, subways.
They are just as, er, interesting as my sister described!
And her apartment was adorable! I am so proud of my sister!
And her boyfriend Ashley is so prefect for her, it was nice getting to know him better.

We got to light a candle at a cathedral for Rachael. =)

Ethan has had the typical "little brother" problems. A huge one being that he has been going to all Kaidens scouting activities for 2 years and couldn't participate. Being the observer of your bigger brother having fun... not so much fun. Then we had the move to Dubai, so what should've been his first year, wasn't. He was so excited and was all smiles at his very first scouting event where he could participate! I can't get over how cute and official he looked in his uniform. He took every belt loop he earned extremely seriously. It's also weird to see Kaiden in his webelo uniform, I always saw it as for the "bigger boys". I guess my little Kaiden is one of the big boys now.

Daddy, because of you I...well, exist.  Because of you I know I am special because you told me every day.Because of you I made it through some really hard times, you were and are still always there for me.  Because of you I always know I have a friend to listen that always has my back.  Thanks for letting me watch T.V. when I wasn't allowed to, bringing me home chocolates and pepsi (which was a BIG deal back then).  Thank you for everything you have done for me, and I hope you know how much I love you.
