A Day For Me!

I had such a great Mothers Day.
I wasn't allowed to get out of bed while the boys cooked me pancakes.
They had the cutest cards and Mothers Day coupons (which I'm saving for when school is out) and a great gift.
John is so good at teaching them to appreciate me and take care of me.

I'm not sure Amalia got the memo though!
She is teething and has been in a lot of pain recently, but lucky for me she saved her perfect behaviour for dinner.
I love Brazillian churascarias so thats of course where John made reservations.
The best part was having a private room so Amalia could run around when she got tired of sitting.

Honestly, I am so grateful to have such amazing children.  They really are some of the sweetest, brightest most  loving children that we have ever met.

Thank you John for helping me mold them into such lovely human beings!
And thank you for making my day so special. Love you all.

P.S. Please take a moment to notice that mini-me and I have matching necklaces with our names on it that I am so giddy about.  Our first of many "matching" accessories.

Mr. and Mrs. John Benham!!!

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. We had quite a bit of time after getting ready, there were so many emotions, so happy I laughed, so happy I cried. I love these photos and am so happy that every moment was captured.  Can't wait to see the professional ones!                                 Waiting for the go ahead                                         It's time!!                              Everyone ready t...

No Rest For The Weary

Yesterday was sweet and sad, and maybe a bit boring. Amalia woke up with a fever and insisted on sleeping right on top of me on and off all day. Even though she was sick, and I did feel a bit cruel and selfish, I pulled out my camera and got to clicking. I simply won't give her a break! But it was worth it.   Look how sweet and peaceful she looked only an hour before she threw up on me. She is the prettiest little girl and oh so sweet.   I love photographing her. She still has a bit of a temperature today so it seems I am back on "pamper the baby even more than normal" duty. My job is to lay on the couch and be her bed, her comfort, and anything else she may need. And today I will give her a break from her modeling duties. I have the best job in the world. I love my kids.

Long Awaited

Ethan has had the typical "little brother" problems. A huge one being that he has been going to all Kaidens scouting activities for 2 years and couldn't participate. Being the observer of your bigger brother having fun... not so much fun. Then we had the move to Dubai, so what should've been his first year, wasn't. He was so excited and was all smiles at his very first scouting event where he could participate! I can't get over how cute and official he looked in his uniform. He took every belt loop he earned extremely seriously. It's also weird to see Kaiden in his webelo uniform, I always saw it as for the "bigger boys". I guess my little Kaiden is one of the big boys now.
