A Day For Me!

I had such a great Mothers Day.
I wasn't allowed to get out of bed while the boys cooked me pancakes.
They had the cutest cards and Mothers Day coupons (which I'm saving for when school is out) and a great gift.
John is so good at teaching them to appreciate me and take care of me.

I'm not sure Amalia got the memo though!
She is teething and has been in a lot of pain recently, but lucky for me she saved her perfect behaviour for dinner.
I love Brazillian churascarias so thats of course where John made reservations.
The best part was having a private room so Amalia could run around when she got tired of sitting.

Honestly, I am so grateful to have such amazing children.  They really are some of the sweetest, brightest most  loving children that we have ever met.

Thank you John for helping me mold them into such lovely human beings!
And thank you for making my day so special. Love you all.

P.S. Please take a moment to notice that mini-me and I have matching necklaces with our names on it that I am so giddy about.  Our first of many "matching" accessories.

Mr. and Mrs. John Benham!!!

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. We had quite a bit of time after getting ready, there were so many emotions, so happy I laughed, so happy I cried. I love these photos and am so happy that every moment was captured.  Can't wait to see the professional ones!                                 Waiting for the go ahead                                         It's time!!                              Everyone ready to come down                                                               Mummy 1st     With this ring...   You may kiss your bride! Ethan is a true romantic.  Whenever we watch movies with happy couples he always says that they are me and John.  For years he has been talking about us getting married. After the ceremony when we came in he was crying.   He said he tried to hold it in as long as possible...

Jamaica: How We Surprised The Boys/Video

I have so much going on that I am actually getting things done quicker (you know how that goes). So here are the pics of our last evening and the Vacation video!! Jamaica 2013 from Rebecca Benham on Vimeo . My friends came over after the family pics and we had so much fun reminiscing and catching up. I miss these girls so much, we have so many memories together.

And the Fun Begins

On Sunday, March 11th, we welcomed our newest family member.  Amalia Rachael Emily Benham. It all began Saturday morning.  I had signs of labor but we had the Pinewood Derby so I hoped she would wait.  And of course, she did. Contractions started coming in very slowly and Mummy and Binx came over.  We hung out, and hung out, and hung out and the contractions weren't getting stronger but slowly moving closer together.  We all finally took naps then we started hanging out again.  Finally at 12am we decided to go to the hospital. 3 cm dilated and I was admitted. Kindle, my bff of course came to the hospital as well.  All our biggest supporters were there. Waiting for Baby  Getting some well needed rest. Last moments before birth  My contractions never got  intense before the epidural kicked in, thank goodness.  Somehow my left side didn't kick in so I could feel it all on that side, but because I have back labor and I couldn't feel pain in my back, it wasn't
