Spring Beauty In The Mid-West

I never imagined that I would ever live in the Mid-West, but ta-da! Here I am!

Being from a tiny town in Jamaica I actually really enjoy the small town feel.

The 2 best things are the friendly people and no traffic.

Also, it is beautiful here.

I love seeing the animals, the open fields, the rustic sheds, the spring flowers budding, I love it all.

And the Fun Begins

On Sunday, March 11th, we welcomed our newest family member. Amalia Rachael Emily Benham. It all began Saturday morning. I had signs of labor but we had the Pinewood Derby so I hoped she would wait. And of course, she did. Contractions started coming in very slowly and Mummy and Binx came over. We hung out, and hung out, and hung out and the contractions weren't getting stronger but slowly moving closer together. We all finally took naps then we started hanging out again. Finally at 12am we decided to go to the hospital. 3 cm dilated and I was admitted. Kindle, my bff of course came to the hospital as well. All our biggest supporters were there. Beautiful Baby Shower

This past weekend was our baby shower!! We decided to do it a bit early because I am one of those over-organized, over-prepared types. It was hosted by my best friend Kindle and my sister Bianca. I told Kindle I wanted a slight winter wonderland pink theme since it is so close to Christmas and this is what I walked in to! It was absolutely beautiful, and we were joined by all our best family and friends, we appreciate everyone that made this such a special day for us. This game was to guess how big I was and believe it or not the winner was Ethan!! He definitely knows his Mummy! The chocolate diaper game. (It was Johns first shower, he must've thought we were all crazy). Getting ready for presents!! (The boys got to open them all). Kindle surprised the boys with a gift each.
