Christmas Preparations

I have been so worried that Christmas would not feel like Christmas at all since Thanksgiving, though it was fun, it didn't really feel like Thanksgiving at all.
I have made all these decorations (which I will post when I get photos of them) and gotten Christmas scented plug-ins, candles and sprays.
Then of course the constant stream of Christmas music.
And you know what? It has worked!
It feels like Christmas is coming!

We had a great experience at the mall yesterday.
We walked into this HUGE toy store and was immediately overwhelmed.
A genteman greeted us and would not allow us to lift a finger in the almost 2 hours we were there.
He demonstrated every item we were interested in and whatever we decided we wanted was sent to the register.
Everything was wrapped and delivered a few hours later, which I conveniently coordinated with the delivery of the tree a few hours earlier.

Yes, it feels like Christmas!

As you will see the boys friend Tiffany is becoming a part of the family.
No Amalia! That goes on the tree! She's new to this whole Christmas thing!

Look at Amalia getting squished! I forget I'm holding her sometimes.  *lost in a moment*

The elves came and were apparently thirsty from crossing the desert!

I see why people here love it here and can't imagine living anywhere else.  Amalia woke up with a cough so I am about to call the Palm Pharmacy and have them deliver some baby cough medicine to me!!!

Mr. and Mrs. John Benham!!!

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. We had quite a bit of time after getting ready, there were so many emotions, so happy I laughed, so happy I cried. I love these photos and am so happy that every moment was captured.  Can't wait to see the professional ones!                                 Waiting for the go ahead                                         It's time!!                              Everyone ready t...

No Rest For The Weary

Yesterday was sweet and sad, and maybe a bit boring. Amalia woke up with a fever and insisted on sleeping right on top of me on and off all day. Even though she was sick, and I did feel a bit cruel and selfish, I pulled out my camera and got to clicking. I simply won't give her a break! But it was worth it.   Look how sweet and peaceful she looked only an hour before she threw up on me. She is the prettiest little girl and oh so sweet.   I love photographing her. She still has a bit of a temperature today so it seems I am back on "pamper the baby even more than normal" duty. My job is to lay on the couch and be her bed, her comfort, and anything else she may need. And today I will give her a break from her modeling duties. I have the best job in the world. I love my kids.

Long Awaited

Ethan has had the typical "little brother" problems. A huge one being that he has been going to all Kaidens scouting activities for 2 years and couldn't participate. Being the observer of your bigger brother having fun... not so much fun. Then we had the move to Dubai, so what should've been his first year, wasn't. He was so excited and was all smiles at his very first scouting event where he could participate! I can't get over how cute and official he looked in his uniform. He took every belt loop he earned extremely seriously. It's also weird to see Kaiden in his webelo uniform, I always saw it as for the "bigger boys". I guess my little Kaiden is one of the big boys now.
