1st Day Of School

All I can think is, "Already?!"

This is easily the fastest summer of my life so far, it feels as though only 2 weeks has gone by and here we are back to the first day of school.

Ethan is in 3rd and Kaiden in 5th.  Wow, just wow!

I met their teachers and I really like both of them and I know they will have another successful school year, and I am sure the time won't slow down, not one bit!

It's beginning to cool down and all I can think about is fall, already!  What's scary is I could put Amalia in Montessori now if I wanted to, when did she get this big?!

Once the boys are settled in school I am going to start homeschooling her, I am not ready to send her quite yet.

This morning when I was taking their "first day" photos Amalia runs in the picture and smiles.  Kaiden says, "It's not her first day!"  To which I responded, "You try telling her that!!

Mr. and Mrs. John Benham!!!

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. We had quite a bit of time after getting ready, there were so many emotions, so happy I laughed, so happy I cried. I love these photos and am so happy that every moment was captured.  Can't wait to see the professional ones!                                 Waiting for the go ahead                                         It's time!!                              Everyone ready t...

No Rest For The Weary

Yesterday was sweet and sad, and maybe a bit boring. Amalia woke up with a fever and insisted on sleeping right on top of me on and off all day. Even though she was sick, and I did feel a bit cruel and selfish, I pulled out my camera and got to clicking. I simply won't give her a break! But it was worth it.   Look how sweet and peaceful she looked only an hour before she threw up on me. She is the prettiest little girl and oh so sweet.   I love photographing her. She still has a bit of a temperature today so it seems I am back on "pamper the baby even more than normal" duty. My job is to lay on the couch and be her bed, her comfort, and anything else she may need. And today I will give her a break from her modeling duties. I have the best job in the world. I love my kids.

Long Awaited

Ethan has had the typical "little brother" problems. A huge one being that he has been going to all Kaidens scouting activities for 2 years and couldn't participate. Being the observer of your bigger brother having fun... not so much fun. Then we had the move to Dubai, so what should've been his first year, wasn't. He was so excited and was all smiles at his very first scouting event where he could participate! I can't get over how cute and official he looked in his uniform. He took every belt loop he earned extremely seriously. It's also weird to see Kaiden in his webelo uniform, I always saw it as for the "bigger boys". I guess my little Kaiden is one of the big boys now.
