Happy Birthday To Me!

I have been so busy with other things that my birthday snuck up on me so suddenly.
I woke up feeling a bit "off" and came out to a fully decorated living and dining room.
John so sneakily got out of bed and set everything up for me.
Then time for presents!
The boys told me they were making my present, I had no clue what it was but I did not think it would be as good as this.
I LOVE my hand carved heart shaped rocks!
John tries to stay away from buying me clothes, but he saw this Darth Vader hot pink T and knew it was right for me!
Then a "gift card" for a full day of shopping in Dubai! Umm, yes please!
We ate at the Cheesecake Factory there which is always nice because while you eat you look out to the aquarium.
THEN my family back home put money in my account to add to the shopping day.
Let's just say I spent my birthday in the largest most amazing mall in the world doing one of my favourite things, shopping!
And in my old age I was so exhausted that I couldn't make it out to dinner so we ordered in my favourite food and met my friends at the beach club for a little while to celebrate a bit.
They were all so sweet giving me flowers, even the boys friends got me flowers!
Everyone made me feel so special and the boys were extra extra sweet.
Thank you so much everyone for making my Birthday AMAZING.  I love you all!

P.S. Excuse the "1" candle, I bought 4 different ones for Amalia's birthday and these were the only candles we had.  John claims that the "1" stand for #1 Mummy, #1 daughter, #1 sister and last but not least #1 wife!  =)

Mr. and Mrs. John Benham!!!

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. We had quite a bit of time after getting ready, there were so many emotions, so happy I laughed, so happy I cried. And the Fun Begins

On Sunday, March 11th, we welcomed our newest family member.  Amalia Rachael Emily Benham. It all began Saturday morning.  I had signs of labor but we had the Pinewood Derby so I hoped she would wait.  And of course, she did. Contractions started coming in very slowly and Mummy and Binx came over.  We hung out, and hung out, and hung out and the contractions weren't getting stronger but slowly moving closer together.  We all finally took naps then we started hanging out again.  Finally at 12am we decided to go to the hospital. 3 cm dilated and I was admitted. Kindle, my bff of course came to the hospital as well.  All our biggest supporters were there. Waiting for Baby  Getting some well needed rest. Last moments before birth  My contractions never got  intense before the epidural kicked in, thank goodness.  Somehow my left side didn't kick in so I could feel it all on that side, but because I have back labor and I co...

Beautiful Baby Shower

This past weekend was our baby shower!!  We decided to do it a bit early because I am one of those over-organized, over-prepared types.  It was hosted by my best friend Kindle and my sister Bianca. I told Kindle I wanted a slight winter wonderland pink theme since it is so close to Christmas and this is what I walked in to! It was absolutely beautiful, and we were joined by all our best family and friends, we appreciate everyone that made this such a special day for us.  This game was to guess how big I was and believe it or not the winner was Ethan!! He definitely knows his Mummy!  The chocolate diaper game. (It was Johns first shower, he must've thought we were all crazy).  Getting ready for presents!! (The boys got to open them all).  Kindle surprised the boys with a gift each. It was a shirt with their picture saying "I'm the biggest Brother" and "I'm the big Brother" for the hospital. Most thoughtful thing ever!!! I wish I could relive ...
