Catching Up With The Kids

I, again, forced the boys to take a few photos for me.
I have about a million photos of Amalia and what feels like just a few of the boys so every so often I get them to sit still and bribe them with candy.

They are growing so much!
Kaiden is getting Valentine cards from little girls, which he pretends to not be impressed by.
He just throws them away, I think secretly he likes it.

Ethan is all about playing and football (soccer).
When Kaiden got an anonymous Valentine card I said who I thought it was.
Ethan says, no, it must be from Gigi!!
Lol, he doesn't understand this whole girl thing quite yet.

Amalia is about to be one year old.
I cannot believe it!
She has started walking now and talks more than ever.
My favourite is when she says, "Daddy!" and points to whatever she wants.
If she points to him, that means he is to pick her up.
She has him wrapped around her little finger.
She spends most of her time wanting to be with me though but she likes having him around.
If he looks at her and smiles she gets so shy and runs to me smiling snuggling her face into me.
Very sweet.

All in all the kids are amazing, everything I dreamed they would be and more.

Mr. and Mrs. John Benham!!!

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. We had quite a bit of time after getting ready, there were so many emotions, so happy I laughed, so happy I cried. I love these photos and am so happy that every moment was captured.  Can't wait to see the professional ones!                                 Waiting for the go ahead                                         It's time!!                              Everyone ready t...

No Rest For The Weary

Yesterday was sweet and sad, and maybe a bit boring. Amalia woke up with a fever and insisted on sleeping right on top of me on and off all day. Even though she was sick, and I did feel a bit cruel and selfish, I pulled out my camera and got to clicking. I simply won't give her a break! But it was worth it.   Look how sweet and peaceful she looked only an hour before she threw up on me. She is the prettiest little girl and oh so sweet.   I love photographing her. She still has a bit of a temperature today so it seems I am back on "pamper the baby even more than normal" duty. My job is to lay on the couch and be her bed, her comfort, and anything else she may need. And today I will give her a break from her modeling duties. I have the best job in the world. I love my kids.

Long Awaited

Ethan has had the typical "little brother" problems. A huge one being that he has been going to all Kaidens scouting activities for 2 years and couldn't participate. Being the observer of your bigger brother having fun... not so much fun. Then we had the move to Dubai, so what should've been his first year, wasn't. He was so excited and was all smiles at his very first scouting event where he could participate! I can't get over how cute and official he looked in his uniform. He took every belt loop he earned extremely seriously. It's also weird to see Kaiden in his webelo uniform, I always saw it as for the "bigger boys". I guess my little Kaiden is one of the big boys now.
