1st Day of School Dubai

After a 3 month summer break the kids have finally started school! I am excited, even though it is a bit quiet around here, wait, especially because it is quiet around here!
The boys are so brave.  1st day at a new school in a new country and they act like they do it every day.
John and I heard a door at 4 am so he got up to check on the boys.
He slowly opens the door to find Kaiden, hair brushed, full uniform on, bed made to a crisp, sitting on the corner of his bed.
John says, "Baby, it's not time to get up yet, it's 4 am".
To which Kaiden replies, "I know, but I'm ready!"
Ethan on the other hand, oh my Ethan.
Sloppily gets out of bed, gets dressed and spills breakfast on his uniform.  They are so different, I love everything about them.

In the lobby

Little sister seeing them off.  She smiled like crazy when they came home, she loves her brothers soooo much!
Ethan waiting for the bus, he entertains himself by playing.
Kaiden waiting for bus, stares out the window and counts the seconds.
I love these eyes so full of wander.

Ethans class.  Check this, 7,500 miles from GA and Ethans teacher is from Atlanta! She moved here a few days after we did!
Kaidens teacher is from New Zealand.
Kaidens class has only 11 students and Ethans has 17 and both classrooms have assistant teachers.  I think that this is amazing!
The teachers will not be overwhelmed and actually have time to teach, what a concept!
What the boys love is that the school has iPads! I think that is pretty cool too.
And me, what did I do today?
While doing some laundry Amalia was laying on this blanket next to me (she will not let me out her sight and our shipment has not come yet so I have none of her toy sit up things) looking absolutely gorgeous.

And this last one I KNOW will melt her Daddys heart.  Just for you my love =)

Long Awaited

Ethan has had the typical "little brother" problems. A huge one being that he has been going to all Kaidens scouting activities for 2 years and couldn't participate. Being the observer of your bigger brother having fun... not so much fun. Then we had the move to Dubai, so what should've been his first year, wasn't. He was so excited and was all smiles at his very first scouting event where he could participate! I can't get over how cute and official he looked in his uniform. He took every belt loop he earned extremely seriously. It's also weird to see Kaiden in his webelo uniform, I always saw it as for the "bigger boys". I guess my little Kaiden is one of the big boys now.

Mr. and Mrs. John Benham!!!

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. We had quite a bit of time after getting ready, there were so many emotions, so happy I laughed, so happy I cried. I love these photos and am so happy that every moment was captured.  Can't wait to see the professional ones!                                 Waiting for the go ahead                                         It's time!!                              Everyone ready t...

Because Of You

Daddy, because of you I...well, exist.  Because of you I know I am special because you told me every day.Because of you I made it through some really hard times, you were and are still always there for me.  Because of you I always know I have a friend to listen that always has my back.  Thanks for letting me watch T.V. when I wasn't allowed to, bringing me home chocolates and pepsi (which was a BIG deal back then).  Thank you for everything you have done for me, and I hope you know how much I love you. Jesse, because of you I have the 2 most wonderful little boys in the world.  I know we may not always see eye to eye but when it comes to our boys we can always come together and do what is best for them and I appreciate that, and I am sure when they are old enough to understand what we do for them, so will they. John, because of you the boys have a good role model.  Because of you  I get to show them by example what a loving, caring relationshi...
