Snow 2017

We got a couple inches of snow, just enough to have a lot of fun fun a few hours, but not too much that it made life hard.   I couldn't resist but take Willa and Ashlyn out for some fun.  Honestly, you guys, American Girl should hire me, I have a talent and a passion for this, I mean come on, how stinking cute are the girls??

Bringing In 2017!

2016 was a GREAT year for our family. We made a (much smaller than normal for us) move back to the town we originally wanted to come back to after our move from Dubai and it has really been wonderful for us.  It is nice to have a beautiful and private yard and a pool in the neighborhood, definitely a plus for summer. If you know me any at all, you know I always have a plan, the kind of plans that make people think I am crazy. I'm not crazy, I just dream big, I love adventure, and I enjoy having big things to work towards.  Of course 2017 will be no different, bigger, crazier dreams than any year so far.  Luckily for me John doesn't find any of mine (our) dreams and goals weird, crazy or out of our reach, he is always quick to jump on board without me even having to convince him.  We are such a good team. Anyway, here are a few photos from New Years Eve. We played family games and set up a photo booth and my friend Angela stopped by for a bit.  Honestl...

Christmas 2016

I can honestly say that I miss blogging.  Facebook "memories" option has made me realize how nice it is to be able to look back at our family life and adventures. I will (eventually) try and get caught up on the past few months, because we all know that I have photographed each and every moment, but for now I will start with Christmas. We started shopping later than normal but managed to get everything done with time to spare to relax and enjoy the season. Mummy came from England, I did not realize it but this is only her first Christmas with Amalia!  We spent the day with great family friends, Peter, Debbie and their family.  It has been a tradition for many years to do Christmas and/or Thanksgiving with them. As per usual we had Santa Jeaux come and visit along with all the kids friends.  It was such a nice reunion not only with our friend Santa, but the kids miss their friends dearly it is always a great occasion to get them together again.  I apprec...

Swim Meets

This is the boys 3rd year on swim team and they have had such great improvement in their stroke technique and their speed.     Swim is my favorite activity that they do, though the meets are long and the practice is 5 days a week I enjoy it thoroughly.  This is sadly their last year on the Woodland Waves team and I am hoping that they will join a new team next summer, though they are saying they don't want to.  Amalia will finally be able to join the team next year and has been practicing all summer and she can make it the short length of the pool doing freestyle and breast stroke. Summer is my favorite time of year, pool days every day!
