Basketball

Yet another activity to fill our weeks with!

With a total of 3 days a week basketball has been keeping us pretty busy, along with trying to keep up with cub scouts.  Sometimes I wonder why I do this to myself, but then I remember that the kids enjoy their activities so much and I know it's totally worth it.

I promise I took photos of Kaiden's game and the pics are missing! I would wait to get more, but I've had these photos in my camera for a month and we are unfortunately missing our game this weekend (but for a very good reason), so I figured it's post now or never!!

Best part about staying so busy aside from the kids happiness, winter is going by quickly and I hardly have a moment to remember how cold and untanned I am.

Let's not forget their cheerleader.  "GO Kaiden! Go Efan! Slam dunk that basketball!!"

No Rest For The Weary

Yesterday was sweet and sad, and maybe a bit boring. Amalia woke up with a fever and insisted on sleeping right on top of me on and off all day. Even though she was sick, and I did feel a bit cruel and selfish, I pulled out my camera and got to clicking. I simply won't give her a break! But it was worth it.   Look how sweet and peaceful she looked only an hour before she threw up on me. She is the prettiest little girl and oh so sweet.   I love photographing her. She still has a bit of a temperature today so it seems I am back on "pamper the baby even more than normal" duty. My job is to lay on the couch and be her bed, her comfort, and anything else she may need. And today I will give her a break from her modeling duties. I have the best job in the world. I love my kids.

Long Awaited

Ethan has had the typical "little brother" problems. A huge one being that he has been going to all Kaidens scouting activities for 2 years and couldn't participate. Being the observer of your bigger brother having fun... not so much fun. Then we had the move to Dubai, so what should've been his first year, wasn't. He was so excited and was all smiles at his very first scouting event where he could participate! I can't get over how cute and official he looked in his uniform. He took every belt loop he earned extremely seriously. It's also weird to see Kaiden in his webelo uniform, I always saw it as for the "bigger boys". I guess my little Kaiden is one of the big boys now.
