Farewell To My Dear Grandpa, Miami Trip

We took a road trip to Miami for My lovely Grandpa Leslie's funeral.
I am so happy that we were able to visit with him in February before he passed, I love him so much.  He was extremely intelligent, had a great sense of humor and always fun to be around.

Our first stop, However, was Orlando where I got to see Daddy and Aunty Sally.  Aunty Sally has the sweetest heart and cutest laugh, I miss spending time with her, and was so happy for her to meet Amalia and get to know the boys better.  (Thanks for giving my kids unlimited amounts of ice cream and cookies!)

I found out recently that a great friend of my "ex family" went to the same church Grandpa did, and visited him frequently in the nursing home.  Himself and his wife are such beautiful people and my family and I appreciate that they were there for him to the end.  I was so happy to reconnect with Uncle David and Aunt Bev!!

It was also great to see all the rest of my family again, especially you Kevin, you are just the best!  Not just family, but a few of my best friends from boarding school, and I got to spend time with their kids.  I was also able to see Kaiden's God Mother, and convince her to bring the kids to Disney for me, you're amazing Candice! I miss you lots.  May I add that Aunty Susan made me gain 4lbs, and I appreciated it, amazing food and drinks.  And Mummy, It's almost like you never left! The kids had a great time with you at the kiddie table spending time with them.  Uncle Anthony, so pleased I finally impressed you! lol!!

Amalia is still asking about my Skye baby, my friends precious daughter.
Unfortunately no pics with Naja because Kaiden had an accident and we had to leave urgently, but there will be a next time!

I love you all!!

And the Fun Begins

On Sunday, March 11th, we welcomed our newest family member.  Amalia Rachael Emily Benham. It all began Saturday morning.  I had signs of labor but we had the Pinewood Derby so I hoped she would wait.  And of course, she did. Contractions started coming in very slowly and Mummy and Binx came over.  We hung out, and hung out, and hung out and the contractions weren't getting stronger but slowly moving closer together.  We all finally took naps then we started hanging out again.  Finally at 12am we decided to go to the hospital. 3 cm dilated and I was admitted. Kindle, my bff of course came to the hospital as well.  All our biggest supporters were there. Waiting for Baby  Getting some well needed rest. Last moments before birth  My contractions never got  intense before the epidural kicked in, thank goodness.  Somehow my left side didn't kick in so I could feel it all on that side, but because I have back labor and I co...

Beautiful Baby Shower

This past weekend was our baby shower!!  We decided to do it a bit early because I am one of those over-organized, over-prepared types.  It was hosted by my best friend Kindle and my sister Bianca. I told Kindle I wanted a slight winter wonderland pink theme since it is so close to Christmas and this is what I walked in to! It was absolutely beautiful, and we were joined by all our best family and friends, we appreciate everyone that made this such a special day for us.  This game was to guess how big I was and believe it or not the winner was Ethan!! He definitely knows his Mummy!  The chocolate diaper game. (It was Johns first shower, he must've thought we were all crazy).  Getting ready for presents!! (The boys got to open them all).  Kindle surprised the boys with a gift each. It was a shirt with their picture saying "I'm the biggest Brother" and "I'm the big Brother" for the hospital. Most thoughtful thing ever!!! I wish I could relive ...
