Spring Campout

Oh how I thought I missed camping!!

It has been 2 years since we have gone camping, and man did I forget how cold it got at night!
It was still a great time as always, and most importantly the kids had a ton of fun.
I was honored to be asked to cook jerk chicken and rice and peas for the pack, jerk chicken for 60 people, it was delicious!!  Always great to represent my county!

The boys had their cross over ceremony.  It is nice to see how much they have grown from day 1 to the crossover.  John and I are so proud of our boys and we appreciate all the work John has put in to helping the boys achieve their goals, he's a great role model.

John had the boys do the tent themselves and they did a great job.
Little miss Amalia absolutely loved it! She truly thought she was a scout and got involved in everything, such a cutie.

Also, I couldn't be prouder to see both my boys doing the flag ceremony together, they are the best boys any mother could dream of.

Thanks to Kim, Kerry and Charles, you are all great leaders!

Long Awaited

Ethan has had the typical "little brother" problems. A huge one being that he has been going to all Kaidens scouting activities for 2 years and couldn't participate. Being the observer of your bigger brother having fun... not so much fun. Then we had the move to Dubai, so what should've been his first year, wasn't. He was so excited and was all smiles at his very first scouting event where he could participate! I can't get over how cute and official he looked in his uniform. He took every belt loop he earned extremely seriously. It's also weird to see Kaiden in his webelo uniform, I always saw it as for the "bigger boys". I guess my little Kaiden is one of the big boys now.

Mr. and Mrs. John Benham!!!

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. We had quite a bit of time after getting ready, there were so many emotions, so happy I laughed, so happy I cried. I love these photos and am so happy that every moment was captured.  Can't wait to see the professional ones!                                 Waiting for the go ahead                                         It's time!!                              Everyone ready t...

Because Of You

Daddy, because of you I...well, exist.  Because of you I know I am special because you told me every day.Because of you I made it through some really hard times, you were and are still always there for me.  Because of you I always know I have a friend to listen that always has my back.  Thanks for letting me watch T.V. when I wasn't allowed to, bringing me home chocolates and pepsi (which was a BIG deal back then).  Thank you for everything you have done for me, and I hope you know how much I love you. Jesse, because of you I have the 2 most wonderful little boys in the world.  I know we may not always see eye to eye but when it comes to our boys we can always come together and do what is best for them and I appreciate that, and I am sure when they are old enough to understand what we do for them, so will they. John, because of you the boys have a good role model.  Because of you  I get to show them by example what a loving, caring relationshi...
