Welcoming Spring

Going from living in Jamaica where Spring is Sun and sand, to Georgia where spring is pollen, to Dubai where it is sun and sand to Illinois.
Let's just say I was not expecting a massive snow storm!
I have never experienced snow like this in my life!
Amazing what a difference 9am to noon can make!
This is how they do spring here it seems!

We had so much fun!
Lots of games with the kids, just dance 3, wii golf etc.

Of course John took the boys out to make a snowman and snowball fights and even gave them a big job to make a little money.
I don't know how they handle the cold so well, it truly amazes me how long they can stay out there and be completely okay.
I of course stayed inside, I do not like the cold, not one bit. I do enjoy watching the snow from the windows though, it is so beautiful.
I even fell asleep on the carpet in front of the fireplace!

We did have a small mishap. Kaiden decided he wanted to warm up his pillow pet and it melted on the glass on the fireplace!
Not good. Handy hubby to the rescue!

I really wish this town was not so efficient with the clean up so I could have him home with us snowed in for another day!

Long Awaited

Ethan has had the typical "little brother" problems. A huge one being that he has been going to all Kaidens scouting activities for 2 years and couldn't participate. Being the observer of your bigger brother having fun... not so much fun. Then we had the move to Dubai, so what should've been his first year, wasn't. He was so excited and was all smiles at his very first scouting event where he could participate! I can't get over how cute and official he looked in his uniform. He took every belt loop he earned extremely seriously. It's also weird to see Kaiden in his webelo uniform, I always saw it as for the "bigger boys". I guess my little Kaiden is one of the big boys now.

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. Daddy, because of you I...well, exist. Because of you I know I am special because you told me every day.Because of you I made it through some really hard times, you were and are still always there for me. Because of you I always know I have a friend to listen that always has my back. Thanks for letting me watch T.V. when I wasn't allowed to, bringing me home chocolates and pepsi (which was a BIG deal back then).
