Just Another Seaside Weekend

On Thursday, which is the last workday of the week here, we saw a sign downstairs that every Thursday they will be having a kids movie at the beach club right downstairs from our condo.
So of course, we go.
It was Bee movie.  John and I didn't watch it, we chatted and enjoyed the sea breeze, and Amalia slept through it.
We say all the time that we don't know how we could ever adjust to living somewhere else.
Gym a few feet from our door, mini mart and restaurant and beachclub downstairs, pool and beach, perfect weather all year, gourmet grocery store a 3 minute walk to next door, subway that delivers, the grocery store even delivers!
I have gotten spoilt. We all have.
When the kids get their allowance they run down to the mini mart for a lollipop.
Amalia enjoys our daily walk to the gourmet grocery for a fruit tart.
Every one on the walk knows and loves her.
All the security in our building, the mini mart cashiers, the workers in the grocery.
I love this little community here.
And we will never get tired of the beach... ever.

And I am very happy to announce that I made it to the craft stores this past week!
Yay!
And have gotten straight to work on some halloween projects, which I am very excited to share with you all.
Sometimes I think that when you are limited is when you truly have to be creative.
This is what is happening now.
Crafting supplies are very limited here and I feel as though my hands are tied, but I am making it through and very excited about the results I am getting so far.

So be on the lookout for my new work!

Mr. and Mrs. John Benham!!!

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. We had quite a bit of time after getting ready, there were so many emotions, so happy I laughed, so happy I cried. I love these photos and am so happy that every moment was captured.  Can't wait to see the professional ones!                                 Waiting for the go ahead                                         It's time!!                              Everyone ready t...

And the Fun Begins

On Sunday, March 11th, we welcomed our newest family member.  Amalia Rachael Emily Benham. It all began Saturday morning.  I had signs of labor but we had the Pinewood Derby so I hoped she would wait.  And of course, she did. Contractions started coming in very slowly and Mummy and Binx came over.  We hung out, and hung out, and hung out and the contractions weren't getting stronger but slowly moving closer together.  We all finally took naps then we started hanging out again.  Finally at 12am we decided to go to the hospital. 3 cm dilated and I was admitted. Kindle, my bff of course came to the hospital as well.  All our biggest supporters were there. Waiting for Baby  Getting some well needed rest. Last moments before birth  My contractions never got  intense before the epidural kicked in, thank goodness.  Somehow my left side didn't kick in so I could feel it all on that side, but because I have back labor and I co...

Beautiful Baby Shower

This past weekend was our baby shower!!  We decided to do it a bit early because I am one of those over-organized, over-prepared types.  It was hosted by my best friend Kindle and my sister Bianca. I told Kindle I wanted a slight winter wonderland pink theme since it is so close to Christmas and this is what I walked in to! It was absolutely beautiful, and we were joined by all our best family and friends, we appreciate everyone that made this such a special day for us.  This game was to guess how big I was and believe it or not the winner was Ethan!! He definitely knows his Mummy!  The chocolate diaper game. (It was Johns first shower, he must've thought we were all crazy).  Getting ready for presents!! (The boys got to open them all).  Kindle surprised the boys with a gift each. It was a shirt with their picture saying "I'm the biggest Brother" and "I'm the big Brother" for the hospital. Most thoughtful thing ever!!! I wish I could relive ...
