Say What?!

Yes People, believe it, I went camping!

Seems like it is hard to believe for most, I am not sure why, do I really seem like I am not the camping type?  I am almost offended by that... almost.  It was lots of fun,  and since John has done this many times before we were very prepared. And since I love to cook camp fire cooking was a new challenge for me, which worked out very well, everyone there loved my jerk chicken... yummm.

Talk about an exhausting weekend, something about the outdoors drains me.  Between all the Cub Scout activities, kids running everywhere, food preparation, cleaning up, running off to a birthday party...
Busy busy busy.  The boys had a lovely time and Kaiden is excited about the belt loops and patches he earned, little super scout.

John's little helper...

Me, not so much.
Got the job done.
Nice and cozy.
Dinner? don't mind if I do.
                                                    Whats a campout without smores??

First night was a bit chliiy so we all had to share extra snuggles.

Definitely a fun camping trip, will do again for sure!

Spent the afternoon with Lisa,

always a good time.
Got a quick nap, now dinner with Lisa and Matthew, Kaidens BFF.

Sometimes its hard to keep up with myself! Can't wait for Monday when the kids go back to school and I can get back on my regular schedule for the week!

Mr. and Mrs. John Benham!!!

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. We had quite a bit of time after getting ready, there were so many emotions, so happy I laughed, so happy I cried. I love these photos and am so happy that every moment was captured.  Can't wait to see the professional ones!                                 Waiting for the go ahead                                         It's time!!                              Everyone ready t...

No Rest For The Weary

Yesterday was sweet and sad, and maybe a bit boring. Amalia woke up with a fever and insisted on sleeping right on top of me on and off all day. Even though she was sick, and I did feel a bit cruel and selfish, I pulled out my camera and got to clicking. I simply won't give her a break! But it was worth it.   Look how sweet and peaceful she looked only an hour before she threw up on me. She is the prettiest little girl and oh so sweet.   I love photographing her. She still has a bit of a temperature today so it seems I am back on "pamper the baby even more than normal" duty. My job is to lay on the couch and be her bed, her comfort, and anything else she may need. And today I will give her a break from her modeling duties. I have the best job in the world. I love my kids.

Long Awaited

Ethan has had the typical "little brother" problems. A huge one being that he has been going to all Kaidens scouting activities for 2 years and couldn't participate. Being the observer of your bigger brother having fun... not so much fun. Then we had the move to Dubai, so what should've been his first year, wasn't. He was so excited and was all smiles at his very first scouting event where he could participate! I can't get over how cute and official he looked in his uniform. He took every belt loop he earned extremely seriously. It's also weird to see Kaiden in his webelo uniform, I always saw it as for the "bigger boys". I guess my little Kaiden is one of the big boys now.
