Boys Double Birthday

Since the boys birthdays are only 2 days apart its always a whirlwind and then it's suddenly over. On Kaiden's birthday he was in a State Science competition which took up most of the day, then we rushed over to a friends for a crawfish boil.  The in between day we had a surprise party for them.  After church John took them to a movie and me and my sister set up the decorations, all their friends cam and we waited. When they came in through the garage I counted to 3 and we all jumped up yelling, "SURPRISE!!!" They were much more surprised than I even expected and it got to the point where I was worried about Kaiden. He clutched his heart with one hand, grabbed the kitchen counter with the other and tried to catch his breath.  It was so cute and funny but after 4 minutes and he was still holding his heart and closing his eyes and breathing heavy I started to worry. Luckily he was fine.  When I asked what he thought he said, "Murderers!!" And then...

Mother's Day Weekend

It's so funny how Mother's Day makes me think about my kids and our family more than I already do. What perfect gentlemen our boys are.  How smart and spunky our daughter is.  How lucky I am to be a mother, and how perfect John and I are together in raising this special bunch of kids. It's so nice to see so much love and hard work manifested in our life daily, layers unfolding as we watch them grow into everything we dream for them to be. Anyway, we went to Sea Island and had a friend of the boys and his Mom come with us.  I don't have that many pics because I was mostly enjoying our time there and forgetting about the camera. Thank John for an amazing weekend at one of my favorite places, it's beginning to feel like a second home to me there.  I am pretty sure I had a "shift" in my being bonding with nature, the sea and the earth, and all of you while we were there. And my boys made me the most precious gifts/books/cards and they most spec...

Atlanta Zoo

This was Amalia's first trip to the zoo! She was confused at first then quickly got extremely excited.  "See! See Mummy, see!" and "I touch Mummy, I touch!" She absolutely loved it. She fed the giraffes and says, "Again!" So we let her feed them a second time. My favorite was the gorillas.  The Mummy gorilla would get annoyed with the baby ones and but her hand on her head, a very familiar scene. And then she'd rock her baby and play with him/her.  It amazes me how similar they are to humans. Halfway through my camera battery died, but we also saw the tiger, bear, pandas, orangutans etc.
