Family, Shopping and DIY Time

Today was my first serious Black Friday shopping day, it was way more fun than I thought it could be!
And saving hundreds of dollars, being back home by noon in time for Thanksgiving left overs for lunch and a nap... amazing!

I have just about all my shopping completed (major yay) and all the decorations up, tree and all.

We had a relaxing Thanksgiving with family, I think my family is one of the few that never has any drama when we get together, pure chill vibes.
This week I have been getting so many packages at the door for the baby, it gets more and more exciting everyday. =)
I am (as usual) working on DIY?craft projects, I am kinda nervous about my newest.
I am making a headboard.
Yeh, crazy, I know.
But Joanns had a super sale today, I have been waiting for black Friday to get my almost 80% off on the materials I need.
The women in the store are so sweet and seasoned at this stuff and gave me some advice.
As soon as my handy man (John) is not too busy working I will bat my big brown eyes and get him to help me put it all together.

Christmas spirit is strong here, the kids make everything more exciting.
Elves have already come, I wonder what mischief they will get into this year?

Mr. and Mrs. John Benham!!!

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. We had quite a bit of time after getting ready, there were so many emotions, so happy I laughed, so happy I cried. I love these photos and am so happy that every moment was captured.  Can't wait to see the professional ones!                                 Waiting for the go ahead                                         It's time!!                              Everyone ready t...

No Rest For The Weary

Yesterday was sweet and sad, and maybe a bit boring. Amalia woke up with a fever and insisted on sleeping right on top of me on and off all day. Even though she was sick, and I did feel a bit cruel and selfish, I pulled out my camera and got to clicking. I simply won't give her a break! But it was worth it.   Look how sweet and peaceful she looked only an hour before she threw up on me. She is the prettiest little girl and oh so sweet.   I love photographing her. She still has a bit of a temperature today so it seems I am back on "pamper the baby even more than normal" duty. My job is to lay on the couch and be her bed, her comfort, and anything else she may need. And today I will give her a break from her modeling duties. I have the best job in the world. I love my kids.

Long Awaited

Ethan has had the typical "little brother" problems. A huge one being that he has been going to all Kaidens scouting activities for 2 years and couldn't participate. Being the observer of your bigger brother having fun... not so much fun. Then we had the move to Dubai, so what should've been his first year, wasn't. He was so excited and was all smiles at his very first scouting event where he could participate! I can't get over how cute and official he looked in his uniform. He took every belt loop he earned extremely seriously. It's also weird to see Kaiden in his webelo uniform, I always saw it as for the "bigger boys". I guess my little Kaiden is one of the big boys now.
