A Gift to the World

The boys have been excellent secret keepers (I have trained them well).  They have known about his gifts for about 3 weeks now and Ethan helped me get them all wrapped up and beautiful.  They get so excited when we do something special for John, they love and appreciate him so much, as do I.  I wish I could do way way more for him, he has been so understanding while I have been slacking the past few months.

John is the most deserving person of all things GREAT, WONDERFUL, FABULOUS, SPECTACULAR, AMAZING, and instead he's stuck with me!! lol!! Just kidding.  I think he would argue that I am all the above (I try to be...since that's what he deserves).  He is kind, sweet, caring and what I love most about him is that he is always looking to grow as a person.  Hopefully we will continue to grow together and that I will spend everyone of his birthdays with him till his very last.
Birthday morning opening presents.

That evening we had a few friends and family over for appetizers and cake.

Mummy got John such a sweet gift, it very appropriately  signifies a new chapter.
 Before                                                                       After

In one of my favorite love songs of all time the lyrics are, "And I find myself thanking your mother, for giving birth to a saint, my spirit flies when I say your name.  If there's one thing that's true, it's that I was born to love you.".    Your birthday has been a gift to the world.  I love you.

Mr. and Mrs. John Benham!!!

This is the moment we have both been waiting for for years! It was perfection. Nothing short of magical. We had quite a bit of time after getting ready, there were so many emotions, so happy I laughed, so happy I cried. I love these photos and am so happy that every moment was captured.  Can't wait to see the professional ones!                                 Waiting for the go ahead                                         It's time!!                              Everyone ready t...

No Rest For The Weary

Yesterday was sweet and sad, and maybe a bit boring. Amalia woke up with a fever and insisted on sleeping right on top of me on and off all day. Even though she was sick, and I did feel a bit cruel and selfish, I pulled out my camera and got to clicking. I simply won't give her a break! But it was worth it.   Look how sweet and peaceful she looked only an hour before she threw up on me. She is the prettiest little girl and oh so sweet.   I love photographing her. She still has a bit of a temperature today so it seems I am back on "pamper the baby even more than normal" duty. My job is to lay on the couch and be her bed, her comfort, and anything else she may need. And today I will give her a break from her modeling duties. I have the best job in the world. I love my kids.

Long Awaited

Ethan has had the typical "little brother" problems. A huge one being that he has been going to all Kaidens scouting activities for 2 years and couldn't participate. Being the observer of your bigger brother having fun... not so much fun. Then we had the move to Dubai, so what should've been his first year, wasn't. He was so excited and was all smiles at his very first scouting event where he could participate! I can't get over how cute and official he looked in his uniform. He took every belt loop he earned extremely seriously. It's also weird to see Kaiden in his webelo uniform, I always saw it as for the "bigger boys". I guess my little Kaiden is one of the big boys now.
