Welcoming Fall

I had a busy week last week babysitting my friends 4 month old daughter, totally tiring.  It was fun seeing how the boys reacted to a baby, I was very impressed! They are so helpful.  It is going to be so different from the last time when I had a newborn and 2 year old.   I did manage to get all my indoor fall decorations up in time for the first day of fall (yay!).  And what better way to kick off fall then a cub scout camp out?! I LOVE camping.  It's so much fun and I sleep so much better outdoors.  Something about the fresh air and night sounds lure me straight to sleep.                                                  Johns and his little Buddy               ...

It is always so exciting finding out what the baby is.  2 weeks ago we went to a specialist for a detailed ultra sound (I had high pregnancy hormone so the doctor said it wouldn't hurt).  What pregnant woman turns down an ultra sound?? So we asked the boys if they wanted to come and they of course said, sure! They were mesmerized watching her move all around, so were we, a sweet day.  We had a few more weeks before out actual ultra sound that determines the sex, but the ultra sound tech told us on that day!! A great surprise.  The boys originally wanted a brother (they don't like girls apparently) but were immediately in awe at the news. We were trying to wait till the official ultrasound, but I could not wait any longer even though it's just around the corner.  Once I got the pics from the shoot I couldn't wait any longer. The boys had fun putting together this little comic, anything for their little sister. =) Got to work wit...

A Gift to the World

The boys have been excellent secret keepers (I have trained them well).  They have known about his gifts for about 3 weeks now and Ethan helped me get them all wrapped up and beautiful.  They get so excited when we do something special for John, they love and appreciate him so much, as do I.  I wish I could do way way more for him, he has been so understanding while I have been slacking the past few months. John is the most deserving person of all things GREAT, WONDERFUL, FABULOUS, SPECTACULAR, AMAZING, and instead he's stuck with me!! lol!! Just kidding.  I think he would argue that I am all the above (I try to be...since that's what he deserves).  He is kind, sweet, caring and what I love most about him is that he is always looking to grow as a person.  Hopefully we will continue to grow together and that I will spend everyone of his birthdays with him till his very last. Birthday morning opening presents.  That evening we had a few friends and ...

Precious Moments

This past weekend was Johns Birthday weekend.  I had a hard time thinking of something special, then a simple idea came to me... road trip!! We went to Savannah and Tybee Island with the boys to enjoy his special weekend outside of Atlanta. I'm not usually the road trip type but the boys have always handled it well and since John and I have been road tripping the past few years it has really been growing on me, I guess it's the company that makes the drive as fun as the destination. Riverstreet is always fun, of course the boys focused on the candy store and the ice cream shop, I can't lie, recently I have a sweet tooth as well! Brothers and Best Friends, They enjoyed every moment... We all did, and along the way we got quite a few cute pics of our "precious moments" .  Next stop... Tybee Island!!! It was so relaxing spending hours on the beach, there was a nice cool breeze the whole time as though God knew how perfect I wanted his Birthday we...

Labor Day Adventures

We have had a long exhausting weekend.   I think I finally crashed after it all at about 7:30 last night. Friday we started off early after dropping the boys to school we went straight to the lake. Had lots of fun with my sister, Shenelle and Seth.  Im not a fan of lake water but it was really refreshing! Saturday was little 5 points to meet up with a friend for lunch, I always love the vibe down there, minus the massive population of homeless people that keeps on growing. Then to my friends wedding reception.  He had the wedding in Jamaica, reception here.  Was good to see everyone again and eat some really good Jamaican food! Yummmm, Im still thinking about it! (The pic is dark because my camera was dying so the flash wouldn't work) Sunday, of course being that it seems like the absolute end of summer made sense to do the lake again!! A friend invited us on his houseboat so we spent the day out there.  (Waiting for the shuttle) Th...
