This is actually our second blog but since I had no clue what I was doing I somehow lost the actual first one (frustrating!). I decided to go ahead and give it another try while reminding myself to breathe and keep calm.
Truth is I don't even remember what it said or I could just repeat the whole thing. Anyway, this is John and my first time blogging, thought it would be cute to catalog our journey, I wish I did this long ago because I am sure there are many things from our past year plus some that we don't remember.
And it would seem that now is a bad time to start blogging because we have been so unbelievably busy. Got back from a 10 day trip to Jamaica, wish was wonderful, got to see my family and my Grandmother, who is looking well I must say!! She may disagree, she is however pleased with all the weight she has lost because of her illness.
Back to Atlanta and an immediate spring break, boys were going mad with nothing to do after coming straight back from a trip where there was always something to do (thanks to my wonderful cousins and family). Thank God for Jesse who entertained them for the remainder of their Spring Break (thank you, they had a wonderful time). I know it may seem like coming back from a 10 day trip to Jamaica will leave you feeling relaxed... WRONG! Super stressed, dealing with people... not easy, run away on a road trip? SURE!! 2 of my best advisers (Mummy and Lisa) put in a good word for Charleston North Carolina, done! It was simple, quiet, romantic and beautiful, just what we needed. Nothing like laying in the lap of the one you love watching the sky as you sail around on a boat... except of course being dragged up to see wild dolphins all around!!!
We always like talking to the locals, they will always know what the best things around to do are. Someone told us about a tree called "Angel Oak" that wasn't far. It is a huuuge 1,500 year old Oak Tree, it was Amazing! An albino squirrel was running around, pretty cool.
It is great to be back home with the boys. Back on a school and gym schedule. Back to real life, I love that "real life" actually means something good. =)
